Last night we used the Blob Tree picture. With the goal or area of life that each person was working on held in mind the first step was to identify the character who represented where each of us felt that we are at the moment and the character that we wanted to be.
For some it was easier to start with the 'Blob' we wanted to be and then work out where we are now. This stage took a rather surprisingly long time and was punctuated by sounds of delight as new characters were found, new faces interpreted and some rather amazing realisations were made. How did all this happen? Simply by looking at this amazing picture.
The next step was to work a 'Blob' path between where we are now and where we want to be. The sharing around this process was very helpful as we realised that there could be a 'snakes and ladders' approach. We may need to go down to the ground to be able to climb the tree to the place that we wanted to be. It was also noted that not everyone wanted to be 'at the top of the tree' and we all interpreted each character just slightly differently.
We had so much fun and there was so much learning from working with the Blob Tree last night that we've decided to use another blob picture for next week's session. Now I just have the job of choosing which one we'll work with!
If you'd like to find out for yourself what it's all about then give me a call and join us next Tuesday evening!

What a great idea and strange how much you can read into a blob. It is a bit like inkblots where the viewer decides what the blot means.
It sometimes seems that the more vague something is the more meaning it has.
If I lived a little nearer MK I would join you. Have a great meeting.
It would be wonderful to have you with us. If ever you are in the area please do join us as an honourary (hope that's spelt right) member of the group!
Pip Wilson's pictures are really wonderful, I can imagine you having great fun using them.
